For this episode, we went to Tipsy’z Tavern in High Point. We went around 2:00 which is normally a slow time for most places and it was pretty empty but the layout of the restaurant has a nice cozy vibe and could definitely be a good place to grab a drink with a friend after work or have a beer and watch a sports game. At tipsy’z we tried 4 different dishes: buffalo bites, spicy steak, and gouda quesadilla with mushrooms, jacked-up chicken philly, and the TAC sandwich.

The Jacked up chicken philly which has grilled chicken breast with Cajun seasonings, colored bell peppers, sauteed onions, baby bellas, jalapeños, Pepper Jack cheese, and chipotle aioli on a toasted hoagie roll and a side of the hot chips

The TAC was packed with turkey, applewood smoked bacon, cheddar cheese and chipotle aioli and was served on ciabatta. You could also choose whether you wanted the sandwich to be served hot or cold. I went with having my sandwich hot. This sandwich was very good but there should be more chipotle aioli on it. The bacon was nice and crispy and added a good crunch to the sandwich. The hot chips and ranch were also really good and came as one of the sides that you could choose from.

The quesadilla I got was literally amazing. I’m not a huge steak person but the steak in this was cooked perfectly and it was seasoned so well. The gouda was so melty and paired so well with the steak and mushrooms. It comes with a side of pico, lettuce, and sour cream but, of course, had to get ranch with it too. It was a good-sized quesadilla, not too big or small but it definitely had a lot of flavor.

The buffalo bites were so good. You can choose from any of their house-made dressings. They were really good and crispy which is different from other boneless wings I’ve had. It was a pretty good portion so that you can share it as an appetizer or just order it as your meal. The buffalo bites are also served with ranch or blue cheese and I got the ranch.

The ranch at this place is seriously so good, like forget Hidden Valley. This ranch is what you’ll need for the rest of your life and not to mention you can buy it in bulk like literally get a 16oz to-go container of this ranch and I’d say that’s worth it. Everyone in High Point who has been to Tipsyz can tell you that their ranch is seriously the real deal, they don’t sell it for nothing. It was creamy and flavorful and goes with literally any of their dishes.

Overall Tipsy’z is a great place to go to either grab a quick bite with your family or sit down for a beer and watch a game. Regardless of what you order you won’t be disappointed, each dish is made with local ingredients and packed with flavor. Definitely a spot to try out if you are in the High Point area!
